The committee deems it worthy of recognition, as it elevates what could be a root design into an inspiring and contemporary building. Impressive in the scale and worshiper experience, the church inspires faith through what appears to be a larger-than-life structure, but truly is down-to-earth in both its use of common glazing and masonry. The architect does not rely on tradition to convey this design."
